Short Rhyming Love Poems

When I Saw Your Eyes

When you came to your door tonight,
And your beautiful eyes gazed at me
From the darkness within,
The world around me came to a stop,
For just a few seconds,
As I saw the love from within you.

You looked at me with your warm smile,
Your black hair around your face,
And whispered softly, “hi baby”,
And once again,
I was at your mercy.

sweet romantic short poems

My Love for You Is Simple, Deep, and Strong

My love for you is simple, deep, and strong.
I feel it flowing towards you from my heart,
A tide of unsophisticated song,
Sung with much desire and little art.
I cannot tell my love, but it will show
In ways that even I cannot foresee;
A love as full as mine must overflow
Into everything that makes me, me.
Just as the sun must shine to be the sun
And trees burst forth in blossom every year,
So I must love in ways that everyone
Can see or sense or reason out or hear.
Still, I’ll tell you of my love in this:
For fear, despite all, you might my love miss.

my sweet love poems – short love poem

I know it hasn’t been long since I last saw you my dear,
But to me it feels as long as five hundred year.
I miss you to the point I am loosing all sanity,
There has to be an end to all this calamity.

I think of you every second and every breath,
For you I would stare even into the face of death.
To kiss your lips is to taste the sweetness of love,
And it brings forth feelings from the heavens above.

To look into your eyes is to gaze into the sky,
So beautiful with the stars and the heavens inside.
To see your smile is to see the divine,
This poem is for you, sweet love of mine.

Sweet Love Poems – Love is when…

Love is when…
you can’t stop thinking bout them
when u see them or hear there name
your whole world lights up
when they smile u smile
when the laugh
you laugh
when they cry
you cry
you feel what thjey feel
when they never leave your mind
when u go to sleep smiling because
of something they said or did earlier that day
when you look at them
everything turns right
when you touch them
u get that feeling
what is love…
love is all of the above.

Sweet Love Of Mine

Easy to understand Romantic Love Poems

A Little Thing Called Love

Love is a many splendored thing, they say,
And I believe it when you looked my way,
Out of the blue, things seemed to happen
By chance or destiny, is the question.

Living my life so long, without knowing your existence,
Then came a day we felt each others presence,
Guess what’s meant to be will always find a way,
Love creeps into hearts and decides to stay.

A love so exquisite, yet so intricate,
In a world of only “you and I”
A love we can’t even demonstrate,
A secret we have to keep for life.

sweet romantic love poems At Your Feet

Where are you tonight my love?
What is it that you do?
It’s true my heart is torn apart
When I’m not with you
What enchanted thoughts swim through your head?
Are any of them of me?
When, my dear, you go to bed
Is it my face you see?

Who is honoured with your presence now?
And do they even care?
The thought of you not being admired
Fills me with despair
Do they appreciate your loveliness?
Do they marvel at your splendor?
Do they love to hear your velvet voice?
Do they adore your smile so tender?

Short love poem

When all the songs are over
and all the words been said
The sun grows dim across the sky
and the world prepares for bed

I oft can take a moment now
to view the sky above
and whisper God a simple prayer
to thank him for your love

Beautiful Eyes, Beautiful Face – Declaring Love Poem

Beautiful eyes, beautiful face,
I’m shy to talk to you.
You’re the eagle I must watch
No matter what I do.

You’re the beauty, wild and free,
The mistress of my eyes,
Rolling through exultant air,
Alone in pristine skies.

I would take you for my own
Could I but have your wings,
Could I but go where night begins
And frozen sunlight sings.

A Teenage Girl’s First Crush – Falling in Love Poem

A teenage girl’s first crush is . . . well, crushing.
Her body isn’t hers, nor is her mind.
She finds herself shivering, shaking, blushing,
Weak, tormented, sick, and going blind.
And why? Because some guy might look her way,
Then cast his eyes as quickly to the ground;
Some special one, for reasons she can’t say,
Whose voice makes her feel faint when he’s around.
But now my crush on you has been returned,
And so the two of us stand on some brink:
It can’t be love so young, and yet we’ve learned
Love does its will, no matter what we think.
Slowly, slowly now–we mustn’t rush:
Let’s enjoy this first sweet teenage crush.
